Privacy

A simple explanation of your privacy.

You should be able to compare software without handing over a pile of personal information. This page explains the limited information that may be handled when you use the site.

Information you choose to send

If you email us, we receive the information included in your message, such as your name, email address and question. We use it to reply and keep only what is reasonably needed for the conversation or our records.

Basic website information

Our hosting and security providers may process standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, requested pages and timestamps. This helps deliver, secure and understand the site.

Optional Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics only after you select “Accept analytics” in our cookie notice. When enabled, it helps us understand page views, scrolling and outbound clicks to tool websites. Google may process technical information such as device, browser, approximate location and IP-related data under its own terms. If you decline, the Google Analytics tag is not loaded and you can still use the entire site.

Affiliate links and external websites

When you click a provider link, the destination website may use its own cookies or tracking technologies. If the link is an affiliate link, a partner network may record the referral so a commission can be attributed. Their privacy policies—not ours—govern what happens on their sites.

How we use information

  • To operate, secure and improve the site.
  • To answer questions and correction requests.
  • To understand which pages are useful.
  • To measure affiliate referrals when applicable.

What we do not do

We do not ask visitors to create an account, and we do not sell personal information as a standalone business. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Your choices

Your analytics preference is saved in your browser. You can reopen the choice at any time using “Cookie settings” on the site. You can also avoid affiliate tracking by not clicking product links, adjust browser cookie controls and contact us with a privacy question or deletion request. This policy may be updated when the site adds new services or measurement tools.
