How we choose

A shortlist should make a decision easier.

Our scores are editorial Realtor Fit scores—not copied star ratings. They reflect how well a tool fits a real agent’s workflow based on the information available when we review it.

First, we check whether it solves a real agent problem

A tool must clearly help with one of the jobs covered on the site. We favor products built for real estate, but a strong general platform can qualify when its workflow is genuinely useful to an agent.

Then we check the practical details

  • Task fit: Does it solve the job without unnecessary complexity?
  • Ease of use: Can an agent get a useful result without a long setup?
  • Cost clarity: Are the plan, limits and common add-ons understandable?
  • Try-before-you-buy: Is there a free plan, trial or demo?
  • Agent control: Can the agent review, edit and approve the final result?

Where our information comes from

Product features, pricing and trial details come primarily from official product pages, pricing pages and help centers. We also use authoritative real-estate and consumer-protection guidance for responsible-use standards. We date material checks because software changes quickly.

What the score means

The Realtor Fit score is our structured editorial assessment. It is not a verified customer-review average and it is not a promise that every agent will get the same result. Your market, MLS rules, team size and workflow still matter.

We score each area from 1 to 5 and apply the weights above. The weighted result becomes the Realtor Fit score.

Affiliate eligibility is not ranking

We focus our in-depth comparisons on tools that are relevant to real estate workflows and, in many cases, offer an active partner program that helps support this site. We may also include strong non-partner tools when leaving them out would make the comparison less useful. Rankings are based on agent fit—not commission size.
